"exckusive...?". Man, that otta tip you off!!...I have three batteries , one that came with my 300D is a standard Canon logo @1100Mh....second one is a replacement to a Canon they sent me right after I purchased the Camera, from Canon....no name anywhere, but stated power of 1300MH and made in Japan ...last one is an Energizer, purchased at Best Buy for WAY LESS than the Canon OEM (can't recall exactaly how much, 2+ years ago) listed as an ER_C590...all have given me superior preformance and long life in the camera...I couldn't tell you which one is in the camera at any given time..but mone of them say "exckusive.";) :D

I want to buy extra batteries and I've seen them for much lower prices on ebay, just wanted to know who to avoid!

Holy Moly...I just went to Bizrate and checked this Energizer ER C590, and it now sells for anywhere from $19.95 to $65...and everywhere in between...I bought mine (just looked up my old sales slip from Best Buy) for $28-10% ), it's $65 there now..the $19 looks like the same batteries that say "exckusive"so they must be on there as a replacement for the energizer...Tiger direct seems to have the best price from a reasonable seller @ $28...The funny thing is the sellers list the power for the same battery in a wide range..from 1000Mh to 1350Mh...

Here's my 511A that I got with my 20D

Another question; on the battery cover for my 20D there is a little cutout in the form of a battery; does yours have that as well?

on the right in the depression; mine says 53BG

mmm that looks exactly like my supposedly "fake" ones. blue tag, no PCT logo e160814 serial but only differences are that "exclusive" in the bottom left is spelled wrong in mine and that there is no 53BG or even its cutout. the battery cover does look original with cutouts for everything

mind if you take a frontside of the battery for me? thanks for the trouble

everything in HK is OEM HK brand. They make copies of everything over there usually at a cheaper price than the orriginal and usually not at as good quality.

Kait; I will take one of the front when I go home tonight.

I can tell you it does NOT look like my bo511 that I got with my G2 and Digireb; those look like your first post on top with the wide font embossed canon and li ion pack. It has the same text but a smaller font and is not silvered and embossed like the ones you pictured.

I'll post later when I can take a pic.
