Been back a few hours. Managed to get a few up. Nice day out, didn't rain much. I need a fast lens as the light really went towards mid afternoon under the trees in the forest so most of the ones I like were around midday ish.

Enjoy.

I was getting fed up with seeing Steve Petch's body shop full of damaged rally cars - four the other week! That STi has had at least one shell change I am aware of. He is a very good friend of mine by the way.

Doesn't look like anywhere to run for the photog in the Focus shot if something went astray coming out of that corner.

Nice sequence of shots. I really liked the "tricked-out" ComputerVision car. And those shots of the Subaru on 2 wheels were awesome. Thanks for the adrenalin rush. :D

As usual very nice stuff, the 240RS is very cool, I didn't know any still existed, especialy out side of Japan.

You know that STi really does look like he's aiming for you, but your kept your finger on the button, and you walked away with some great shots.

So long and thanks for all the flash

Great shots Dave :)

Was that on the Warren stages?

Very very low light on Saturday morning and afternoon. ISO 800/1600 all day for me I think. I'm still to resize my photos (from Longmoor stages), but will post a few later :)

No idea where it was, might have been Warren. Cars started coming through at about 11am...

I just tagged along and didn't look at the map. lol

You're right about the light though, some of the areas covered by trees were a bit of a nightmare.

85mm f1.8 should do the trick.

Great shots Dave, love the one of Wozencroft in the Suzuki, he does tend to drive it on the rev limiter quite a bit, the shots of young Mr Petch are great too, as Ken says his dad will be pleased that it didn't go over after the damage to the fleet in recent rallies. The Army Land Rovers have been doing most of the BRC events this year and I have got to admit I do tend to hang around for them as they always provide top entertainment and do roll quite regularly.

Cheers
Ian

Lovely !

Nice to see the 6R4 and the 240RS in amongst the newer stuff.

As for the 2-wheeled Scoob, i'd have been out of there a lot quicker than you were. I admire your dedication...or is it stupidity? ;)

Dave, one thing I just noticed, each of your uploaded images is around 500-600Kb. It took me a while for them to load, must be really slow for people not on broadband (I'm told there are still people out there with dialup   ).

What setting do you use to save as jpg? Highest I presume. Just thought you could reduce them down to 200kb or so in size without any quality loss (at 800x533 anyway).

Yes a fast lens was most definately needed. Sadly I don't have one of those.... maybe next year :)

Great shots Dave. Looks like it was a good day. I'll make a note in my diary for next year!
The Nissan is a great shot. I like the 2-wheeled scooby too - nice to see you kept shooting until the last moment ;)
