Looking for ideas for a senior shoot

Ok, about to book a senior shoot for a male. He's really only into playing the guitar (according to his mother). Was looking for some ideas of types of areas which may work well for this.

Going to do some shots with his guitar (for sure) but I, typically, shoot in various parks in the area. Problem is, this doesn't really say, "music," if you know what I mean.

I'm in Jacksonville, FL so it's not like there's a big musical thing happening here.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks.

I went for years thinking a "Seniors Shoot" was where you took photos of old people...

...so I am of no help.

Sorry. :p

You should be able to find both guy shots and shots with guitars in this thread:

It sounds like you are asking about "locations" and, well, it's hard to come up with advice there -- you mention parks, fine, railroad tracks, abandoned buildings, an actual stage, let your imagination be your guide! Check out the thread above and the People section!

Look at this thread for some creative ideas in setting up:

Thanks for the ideas so far.

I'm looking for a good urban setting here as I thought of that originally. Thinking of trying for a, "band shoot," theme if you know what I mean (minus the band of course). Just wasn't sure of how it would look in a park (of which, we have NUMEROUS here in FL).

I know it's difficult to give an idea on locations if you're not from around here, just looking for general ideas on what to look for on this one.

What kind of music does he play. Park/farm works for country, but if he's a budding thrash metal guy well not so much. One trick you can try for some drama is the flaming guitar shot. If you put metal ducting tape on the surface where it doesnt show, and use rubber cement as a fuel you can get some nice controlled flames that dont leave a mark. Look in the senior portrait thread for examples by sevilla fox, or PM me for a non senior example.

That's a great idea as well. Have to find some around town.

Thanks.
