So I'm finding f/1.4 very nice except for the fact that I consistently get one eye in super crisp sharp focus and one noticeably less so. I've found that I have to go pretty high to eliminate this effect. Personally, it doesn't necessarily bother me. I've achieved some nice shots just focusing on the leading eye and letting the far one drop out just a bit. Last weekend I was shooting my victim and hit the far eye and the leading eye went fuzzy. Besides looking strange to me, it was a decent pic, and as far as I'm concerned, a keeper of sorts....but, what do the technical sticklers say? Is this acceptable or do I need to start shooting people straight on only at wide open?
