The 60D has worked extremely well in all applications, including motorsports. There are no shortcomings, no problems, no quirks, just good pictures. The camera did not "get in the way" of these images, or many others. However, its price did leave additional money in the purchaser's pocket.

Get what you can get and get back to taking photos. Think about the pros who took amazing photos with 1-2 megapixel cameras when digital cameras first came around.
