The 1st few are too blown out (seems to be the trend) for my taste, but a nice set overall. I'd like to see the color versions of the ones that are not so hot. Why B&W, not that it's a bad thing at all, just curious as to your thoughts. Nice set!

thanks for the critique. i struggle with the blown out look as i do prefer it, as i feel it gives a nice 'pop' to the images, but skin tones always suffer as a result..

i was trying a new bw conversion out and it gave a nice consistency and coherence to the set. nothing more.

The skin only looks slightly blown to me, in 1 and 4. To me, its not a bad thing in these pics as its from the sun right behind her. I love the tone of the B&W though I feel it works a lot better in the first three bright shots over the last set.

Looks more sepia than black and white to me. I agree about some over exposure and less than idea outdoor lighting conditions. If you are in bright sunlight you can always go to where there is shade to avoid such bright skies.

1, 2, 3, and 5 seem to be a little blown out for my tastes. Could you have pulled back the exposure a little and bumped the contrast?
