Pocket Wizards with Metz flashguns - is this doable ?

Anyone know whether the Pocket Wizard system works with the Metz flashgun system???

Reading all the terrible problems that many have faced with the build quality of the Canon 580ex11 flashguns (HSS causing blown tubes et al...)

I use both of my speedlites in HSS with the PW Flex TT5's - so I am now running scared knowing that so many have experienced 'fried-units'.

Yes, the PW ControlTL units are officially compatible with the Metz 58 AF-1 and the 48 AF-1.

So scared reading that there are so many 580exII 'burnouts' - i guess it's a matter of time before i blow mine. Looking for options - 'just-in-case'
