now the wide just a tad off the ground shot, in better lighting (nice green glowing grass), and with a ball + human element breaking pattern of the grass...that would rock

:)

These were pretty much my thoughts when I opened the thread, most likely the best set I've seen from you so far, glad to see the long slog was worth it. No doubt your getting comfy in front of the box for the draw a little later ;)

Thanks Mark... looks like a trip to sunny Mansfield - not been there for a few years, so should be an interesting afternoon out... ;)

Okay - help me out here... what is the FA Cup? On the local sports channel we get the Primier.... something or rather from the UK... but I haven't seen any listings yet for FA. Are these games generally televised?

Those are some outstanding shots and the story that goes with it makes it perfect!

Awesome job!

It's the oldest (and probably the most prestigious) domestic Cup competition in the world...

Yep... I need to work on my wide stuff... my regular style is to shoot long and to isolate... but wide is peachy as well... I'll see what I can do...

Thanks Frank... I'll try and apply the PJ angle to future posts as well - although it's not always that I get to watch the whole game

have you ever seen that shot of Gareth Southgate in mid air nailing the header, and like 7 other players are in the air stacking behind him? it's sick...coolest "football" shot ever. I think Dave Kendall was the photographer, trying to dig it up now but no luck just of yet

but #2 kinda reminds me of it

I understand! It does add interest even though I doubt that any of us over here have any clue who you're talking about most of the time! :D
