This is a landscape taken at Limestone Bay, in New Zealand's Golden Bay region. It was the dying moments of sunset, with the light rapidly changing from a warm, red-yellow hue to the cool, blue-violet hues of early twilight.

I'm unsure of the whie balance of this piece, and have been experimenting with a few options. Which do you prefer, or something different entirely? Feel free to experiment with the images.

Here it is set at a 'neutral' white balance:

+1 on the yellow filter. It has a more sunset feel to it.

Thanks for the input.

Seems like the consensus is on the warmer end of the spectrum; I eventually settled for something between the 'warm' and 'yellow options'. Opinions?

the B&W is best, the others the wb is too drastic.

It's underexposed in the foreground and lacking detail. I can't see the original so I don't really know what that looks like, but none of the filters are really doing it any good. The editing makes it look unrealistic. The B&W is too flat in the opposite way that B&W's usually are - you have too much contrast and not enough detail in any mid range, which shows in the color version as well.

How's the updated edit:

I don't think you can really do anything to fix this photo - there just isn't enough data there. I'm guessing this color is a bit more accurate, but it looks like you have a color cast from something which is making adjustments difficult.

The colours that evening were really quite spectacular - it was the same evening I took this photo (although this was taken a few minutes earlier):

I may be in the minority, but I like the original, or the cooler, or blue filter. It may not look "realistic", but it still looks awesome and dramatic. If that's what your camera saw, then it's realistic enough. Which one is closest to the one you saw with your eyes?
I've seen some sunsets here in Phoenix in the last couple weeks that were amazing (Unfortunately never while my camera was with me, or in a good location). If I had been able to capture them, no one would have believed they were SOOC.
