saving in C1 Pro 3.7

Im using Capture 1 Pro 3.7

My question is, while working on a photo, does it automatically get saved?
Like if I touch up the sharpness or apply some saturation. After each step is the image saved? Hopefully its not overwritten the original raw file.

It's saved, and not written to the RAW file but in a separate file in another directory.

which directory?

Open the "Process" tab and click on the little folder with the curved arrow above it. That will open a dialogue box which shows the location of your processed files. I find it best to check the "always process images to associated image folder" box. C1 will then create a subfolder below your image folder named "develops" and save your files there.

ok, but how do you open and image in it?

in MS paint you would open the program, go to open, browse for the file and open it. then work on it, then save it or save as.

is it not the same in C1 Pro?

whats up with this folder called Captures.
