Thanks, she's a bit overweight but we're trying to narrow down with the vet if it's a thyroid issue or if her metabolism slowed to a crawl because of her two torn acl's.

She's only 5, but 4 years ago she was one of the most wild Goldens I've ever seen at play and ended up tearing her ACL's within a few months of each other and the vet basicly said if we do the operation it's not a complete fix, she could always reinjure it. So through the years she has slowed down with her running very early compared to other dogs, and with our family who are at work until very late she hasn't had much time to exercise. So I am now taking at least an hour out of each day to take her for walks deep into the woods, keeping her on her diet and within a month we will see if the added hour of excersise a day helps with the weight. If not they will do the tests for the thyroid.
