Took a couple of quick pics of my granddaughter just before she left for a Halloween party. Camera and 580EX set to manual.
I'm aware that her arms were cut off, but other C & C welcomed.

These were just quick snapshots. She was co-hosting the party and was running late, so I only had a couple of minutes to shoot. There wasn't enough time to set up the lights.

Maybe Sophie, the dog, is wearing her Cujo costume. She did go to the party. :)

Did you use on-camera flash or off? Did you use a modifier on the flash? Looks to me like there wasn't any kind of modification. A diffuser of some sort, sto-fen or something similar, would have made the light a lot more pleasing to the eye. Composition is right on though.

Yes, I did use a Sto-fen diffuser and bounced it off the ceiling.

Should have shot at f/4-f/5.6, but she didn't have time to allow me to test the settings. The DOF at f/2.8 was probably a little too thin.
