She was co-hosting the party and was running late, so I only had a couple of minutes to shoot. There wasn't enough time to set up the lights. Looks to me like there wasn't any kind of modification. A diffuser of some sort, sto-fen or something similar, would have made the light a lot more pleasing to the eye.
