Hi members,

I am looking to get a pelican case and not sure which one? I was looking to get the pelican 1604 and wondering what is your experience with it. Also, do you two Pelican use one for storage and one for travel (car, air, or boat)?

Cheers :)

There's probably some good info about the 1604 in here.

I use the Pelican 1614. Love it. Stores all my gear. Little bit more depth than the 1604. Depends on if you need the depth. In my case I do.

I have 7 lenses, 2 bodies, and flash. I will be buying additional lens when funding is available :)

I just got my Pelican 1510 from Amazon. Quick/free shipping and good selection. I do prefer to get all my equipment from B&H, but they were out of stock at the time. Amazon has always been a dependable fall-back for me in such cases.

+1
Totally agree

The 1510 is compact, light-weight and has superb wheels to drag your gear around. Perfect for cabin storage on aircraft and poses no difficulties.
Being Pelican, they are robust/durable and withstand alot of 'knocks'.
Using this since Feb' 2010 in conjunction with a Kata backpack when travelling.
