joeseph and myself were both there, down by the rope at the pit entry straight.

Looks like you were right beside us again.
That's two close encounters now. Maybe I should have gone and spoken to other photographers. I went into a bad mood with them, after the pros were giving evil looks at me.

Funny to see #12 decide to do a lap, before pitting. Was he serious?

Nice shots anyway. :)

Thanks

you know I think #12 was serious. I don't even now how he could see, let alone drive.

I think I only say one pro, and he had a 300 or 400 over his sholder. I am looking at getting the 100-300 F4 by sigma. That's going to be noicable. I wonder if they will start giving me funny looks :)

so where are you pics Wazza, can you do better ;)

Yeah, I was down the pit lane pretty early, and I know I saw you. I recognised you, from a pic you showed me some time. And I know you have a 300D and a 75-300/ 90-300?

As I was with my workmate, the Indian man, that's why I didn't wander off and chat to amateurs as usual.

My pics are still on the portable drive.

I'll let joeseph share his first. He was using a 100-400L.

Slight correction there. I have got the big brother to the 300D, the 10D. But you are right about the lens, it's the 90-300.

I also have the battery grip, but I didn't use it today. Infact I came rather poorly planned. out of the 4 batterys that I have got. only 2 of them had charge. Doh! But in saying that I almost didn't go, with the stress of changes at work blah blah.

So did anyone get any photos of the lunch time entertainment ?

No. At lunchtime, we stayed down the end.

joeseph took his time coming at the start however. Some distractions about the pit girls, he said.

Relatively easy. I was just wandering around the parked race cars, taking shots.

They did however have some tape across grass, half way along pit lane entry point. Which meant you couldn't go further infield, down to the hairpin. :(

Still, where we were in the middle, covering exit of hairpin, and next 2 corners, is an excellent vantage point, with the sun behind you.
