5D Mark II Video Recording. No Sound!

Just picked up this camera and started to record video as test. I noticed the video has no sound after recording. Is this normal and how can I fix this issue with recording video with no sound results. Please help!

Here are some things to check:

During playback do the volume bars show at the bottom right of the display?

Did you try adjusting the volume using the main dial?

Have you tried playing back through a television or the sound through an external amp?

There is a setting that can turn off sound recording. Check the manual in the video section. I forget where in the menu the setting is.
