I was looking for something I could tether to that was not as big as a laptop. I found the Samsung Galaxy Tab it has a few aps that lets me control and viewed the picture as soon as it taken. The screen is a decent size so I can show the customer and it works with USB or if your setup to use Bluetooth or wireless that supported too. I give the Samsung Galaxy Tab an A plus for meeting photographers needs.

What are the apps you are referring to? I have the Acer Iconia (I chose it over the Galaxy Tab cause of the full size USB port)

I would like to see something like this

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a full size USB and the smaller USB port and a port for my memory card. if you have the equipment there are APS to connect to your camera using BlueTooth, or Wi/Fi The APS allow me to tether my camera to the tablet so I can control the camera and view the pictures as I take them. I can all so set the camera in live view and view every thing of the tablet. You all so have a wide verity of PS APS, and other tools to make changes to your pictures. There are some Light reading APS you can use in stead of a light meter, have not tried them yet.

I have a Motorola Xoom, and tether my 7D to it and use the App called DSLR Controller. I had to buy a micro usb to standard usb converter dongle ($15) and the DSLR Controller app ($8). Used it a couple times to do some interior architectural shots. but using live view and tethering over usb zaps your camera battery pretty quickly...

what are you going to use it for? also.. a tablet is a lot different than a phone (form factor). if you're going to use it to tether, not sure if iphone has any apps for that yet, and not sure if it would make that much of a difference (almost the same screen size, although the retina display would be nice)....

the Iphone does not have the screen size the Tablet does, and the Ipad does not have a USB port. plust the Samsung with 32G only cost me 458 dollars at best buy. the DSLR Controller App is the same App I'm using I like it I can control most of the camera functions with the tablet or I can use the camera. I manly use it to just view the picture after it was taken.

Another thing you can do with the Tablet is draw out your light setup, so if you ever do a similar shoot you have a diagram of the setup.
