Ok, here's the deal:
In Zoombrowser I highlight a thumbnail then right click and select show attributes then click > in the dialogue box.
How come when I do this I only get the following information about my picture?

Image Size
2048 x 1536
File Size
1042 KB
Drive Mode
Self-Timer Operation

I thought I was suppose to get all of that great information about my shutter speed F stop settings focal length etc. Where do you get all of that information I see posted with other peoples pictures? I have been at this for some time and have not figured this out yet. What am I doing wrong? I would like that info so I can share it with my image posts.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Go to the Help/about and let us know what version of Zoom Browser you have and what camera you are using. Also in the help/about it also says what version of the canon camera support library is installed, I have 3.6.0.5

Best Regards

Rick

You'll get only this info from Zoombrowser converted TIFF's and BMP's. Zoombrowser does not pass all EXIF to converted images, only god and Canon knows why not...

Try CRW or JPG (from the camera), do you get the full info now?

Thanks Pekka,
This was the first time I tried to do this and yes I attempted to get the info from a converted .tiff as well as a .jpg converted from .tif in ACDSee. The .crw before converting does give me this info. I guess I should learn to save my .crw files longer instead of deleting them so quickly.

Yes, save the CRW's! I consider them to be my negatives. All other images derived from them don't matter that much, but the CRW is the most important file to backup, as it contains the original data.

When I try to take backups of my CRWs, the Zoombrowser cannot take them back in the tree on the left. What am I doing wrong ?

Zoombrowser does not like write-protected CRW's (from CD-R. It accepts drag&drop, which is the easiest way to get pics in (but thumbnail creation is way too slow).

The easiest (and fastest) workflow for RAW's is currently in my opinion:

1. Download the files from the camera with Chris' Downloader (downloads THM's, too), create folders by daily subject as needed.
2. Drop the downloaded folder on Yarc shortcut (set it to extract JPG's only)
3. Check JPG's in any viewer (ACDSee)
4. Use TWAIN desktop module to convert those good shots to TIFF, or use Yarc. Set up a directory for "good photos"
5. Backup whole download directory to CD-R (files in the directory are JPG, THM, CRW, LOG and TXT). Backup "good photos" folder.
