So I usually don't share much (especially in here) but thought this was a cool idea. My friends Evan and Nicole are celebrating their 1 year anniversary, and their idea is to take pictures at the same place they got married each year. Sounded like a fun idea. They showed me some ideas they wanted to replicate (from their wedding day) and were open to new ideas as well. Thankfully, their original wedding photographer wasn't "that great" (not boasting, just saying I was eagerly up to the challenge).

Anyway, i thought it was a cool idea, hope you guys enjoy em too! all shot w/ a 5dmk2 + 70-200 f2.8 IS and the 17-40L.

I've always loved the idea of holding signs in photo's. Great shots, I love the colors and pose in #5, I'm also a fan of the pose in #4, I'm not sure why, I just love the nose touching, very cute.

I find the fence in #8 distracting, the pose is nice, I just wish there were more boards to the fence, but I know that's what you had to work with.

Amidst a conversation about her past as an established equestrian, we drove by a wonderful barn filled with horses. I watched as she swiftly unrolled her window and took a deep breath through her nose, letting the sweet aroma fill her lungs. A true horsewoman, I thought. EOS Rebel T3

Yup!! Honestly, I had this lens with my 1D cameras, and wasn't a fan of it. Sold it for the 12-24 (couldn't use all of it per 1.3x crop, but most of it) but on FF i AM LOVING the 17-40. I think it's highly underrated. I've used it a lot in automotive work and just fell in love with the color and quality, but for weddings, it focuses so fast it's a must. I had to sell my tamron 17-35 (poor man's 17-40L) b/c of how slow it would focus (even though it took great pics).

thanks for the feedback!

the fence shot was the LAST ones we took while walking to the car. I believe the phrase coming out of her mouth was "ok we're done" as I'm "well hey let's just try one over here just in case we get a keeper"...anyone else do that? I figure 2 more minutes of them smiling yields another 10 shots, so be it, haha.

Other than the processing being a little all over the place I like these a lot.

Love #3 for sure.

Not really digging the tilt on #5 and not digging the angle and headroom on #8.
