SD Card for T2i..Photos Only

i have found numerous threads covering Cards for the T2i but they are focusing mainly on Video.....i want to get a good (top of the line) card for my photos......any advice is appreciated..... i currently use SD Cards but was wondering about the Class 4-5-6-10 etc options....what do you guys recommend...just for photos

Generally speaking, you'll find photo speeds are the limiting factor (not video unless you only shoot small jpegs). The higher the class rating, the faster the minimum read/write speed would be but cards can read/write faster in bursts or even overall.

Many people (I will as well) will recommend Sandisk extremes (class 10) as they are reliable, fast, and won't break the bank. You can also look at the Ultras if you wanted a decent speed.

is me..... or is the quality of the photos better when taken with this card....they look more crisp and clear....

It's you. The card only records the 1s and 0s that the camera sends it. The differences between cards are mainly how fast they can record those 1s and 0s. And how fast they get written doesn't affect the IQ. If there's a real difference, look for some other factor like the lens used, light levels, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, . . .

Its you. It's all the same but different from a marketing stand point. They slap a label that says "HD VIDEO" to attract people who are looking for a card for video purposes.
