A few shots from this morning at the Ding Darling NWR at Sanibel Island FL.
There were lots of birds around this morning, White Pelicans, Wood Storks
but the Rosate Spoonbills always steal the show. Here are a few.

Nov 02, 2011 09:43 | #12 Walace, Ding Darling is very easy, the park is one long one way street, you park on the right and most of the birds are on your left. 5D SR- 7D Mark II

Nov 02, 2011 10:28 | #13 Wallace -- one more thing the park personell sometimes "forget" to tell guests --- your entry reciept (even thought it is a flimsey paper roll type) IS GOOD FOR that entire day. If you don't get what you want early -- you can come back towards the end of the day. S000-- save that FLIMSEY paper reciept if there is any chance you want to come back later -- or even if you need to make several drives through. There is at least one or two wooden dock walkouts off to the right side of the road as well.
