This past weekend, I participated in the Ft Myers Offshore, season opener.

"Ft.Myers Offshore, Inc. is a not-for profit corporation consisting of a group of
offshore boating enthusiasts in Southwest Florida, dedicated to raising funds and
awarding a number of academic scholarships each year to help worthy individuals
graduating from high school, continue their education at institutions of higher learning
including college and university as approved by the Board ofDirectors."

I was asked to fill in for the 'pro' photographer, so I left my boat home, and was a passenger
on the pace boat. It was cold, windy and rough, but we had a great time.
I am not a 'pro', it was my 1st time shooting in a race boat, the 1st time using this lens at
an event, and I made some 'rookie' mistakes' . Remember to check out the pictures, and enjoy.

Most were shot with 7D EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
the dock shots, were with EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS

Thank you, and yes, for me it was coldest day of boating, here in SW Florida ,
since relocating here in 2002.

At our Nov Thanksgiving weekend FMO event, I will be back my 31ft tunnel hull race boat.
I will share those pictures, at that time, in a new thread.
