Difference between white and translucent white (umbrellas)

OK so this is probably a stupid question but the more I try to learn about lighting the more I just want to hang myself......So instead I ask

What is the difference between a white umbrella like This Impact umbrella and a translucent white umbrella like This one? (aside from one being 2" larger then the other)

Is there a difference between White and translucent white? If there is what does white do better then translucent white and vice versa?

Neither descriptions are very detailed. The translucent could be a shoot-through while the other white one might be a reflective with a black exterior. Hard to tell though.

The 2nd one is obviously a shoot-thru umbrella from the description. But the first one is also based on the reviews. So, other than the size, there really doesn't seem to be any difference between the two.
