Yup, pretty silly. I mean, I don't even STAY until the last dance (though couples know this in advance).

This just makes more photographers skeptical of getting into the business, and those that are, to want more money and stricter contracts to stay in.

Dad got sued once (and ended up settling) after some lady broke into a gated construction site with warning signs posted all over and broke her ankle when she stepped in a hole..... anything for money

But nothing will top thieves suing and winning damages after breaking into a home and getting injured inside

T3i, Sigma 10-20, Sigma 30 1.4, 18-55 kit, 55-250, YN-565, a few books, some software, and a desire to get good.....

America needs to institute a "loser pays" rule where the person suing someone has to pay their lawyer fees if they end up getting their case thrown out...

I believe it's big in the news right now and it doesn't seem like we have rules like that but they're trying to.

OK, just read the article... it's hilarious! He doesn't even know where the bride is and he wants to recreate it? Sounds to me like he's either A) trying to get his wife back or B) is marrying someone else and wants a free wedding! Either way, hilarious!

I don't believe there is. And this is the reason people are able to try for silly, ridiculous lawsuits. Suing someone for their coffee being hot, for example. You wouldn't likely see that lawsuit come to fruition if the prosecution knew they had to pay for the defense if they lost.

But what is striking, said the studio that took the pictures, is that Mr. Remis’s wedding took place in 2003 and he waited six years to sue. And not only has Mr. Remis demanded to be repaid the $4,100 cost of the photography, he also wants $48,000 to recreate the entire wedding and fly the principals to New York so the celebration can be re-shot by another photographer.

My jaw literally dropped when I read the statement in bold above.

Holy crap.
