Soggy murky dull old day at Brands Hatch today.

Fortunately the action wasn't dull.

Formula Renaults, Legends and Trucks. Was also some Renault Clios and Ginettas.

If some of these look a bit dark...it's because it was dark.

Trucks in the rain, absolutely brilliant, really like the one coming up Hailwood Hill and the rolling start one.

Nice I couldn't decide if i should go to Croft or make the trip to Brands...So i stayed in bed :lol:

I like the rolling start shot too, definitely shows how big these things are in comparison to the usual cars etc. Must be interesting having a sideways Truck coming in your direction !

Did they close any viewing areas off for additional safety?

They only moved the spectators back about 5m at Clearways

Strangely, the inside of Druids was closed for the first couple of races but they opened the gate for the first of the truck races. Odd.

who's a naughty boy then? the outsides of druids was off limits for photgraphers during the trucks. i dont think i would have had the balls the stand there anyway

the gate on the druids bridge was closed at the start of the day, but it wasnt actually locked. i was on the inside on my own (after crossing the track thinking the bridge was closed) when this guy comes up to me and tells me the he just opened the gate and couldnt beleive no one had realised it wasnt locked. 30 secs later there was a stampede of people come over the bridge

badgerbaiter - you must mean that the outside of Druids was off limits to anyone 'track side' - mine were taken from the public areas, there were loads of spectators et al.

Andy - yeah was nice to put a face to the name finally. definitely not the socialising weather though! the Legend shot was one that came straight from the camera believe it or not, it even made me smile when I saw it!
