I'm looking at these 3: Olympus E-PL2, Sony NEX5, Canon G12.

My primary use is going to be for reviews for a travel/food site when I'm on the bike as the 5D MKII with 3 lenses in a Crumpler 5MDH takes up a lot of my luggage space.

I also want to be able to use my flashes with it every once in a while, so it's necessary that I can do that. The NEX5 appears to have a good sensor and better quality than the other two with the ability to shoot 1080p/60FPS and 1080p/24fps, but there's not hotshoe. Is there some kind of sync port for a pocket wizard? The G12 doesn't have the advantage of being able to use other lenses. I think the E-PL2 is the stand out now unless I can figure out is a PW can be used with the NEX5.

Am I overlooking anything here? Should I just wait until I have the extra cash to purchase an E-PL3?

Has to be the Canon G12 - Why: because you can make all your Forum Posts on the one website.

Seriously, I think the SONY wins this one!

But it appears that I can't use my flashes with the sony. I want to be able to toss a pocket wizard on whatever I get and snap away.

Yay, it is a conundrum that ye poses.

I suggested the Sony purely on IQ.

Probably best wait for Canon to launch a better G-series camera so that your PW's are not wasted.
