As a kind person I feel guilty.
However, I don't think I really owe antyhing to the buyer.
Sold my XSi Camera body on these forums a few days ago. Buyer contacted me via PM and did not reply to the thread. Like I always do, I looked into some of his started threads, they had started two in F/S and one in the Weddings section. Things seemed okay. Buyer haggled with me a bit and we decided on selling everything in the For Sale listing minus the Opteka Grip for a price. He never told me things he was expecting to get, only "I'll take everying in the kit except for the grip" As usual, I contacted the buyer via e-mail then phone to confirm shipping arrangements etc. We swapped e-mail addresses for further communications and so I could forward the UPS iShip tracking information.
I shipped out the item 1 day after the sale and provided the tracking information.
I get an e-mail at 4:45am this morning informing me that he received the package and he was concerned that he had everything but the lens. Stating again he wanted everything in the kit minus the grip.
To double check my posting, I checked and I never listed a lens. My photo's did not even include a lens, not even in the background. Now he's saying he's not happy with the sale and thats where our communication stands at this moment. I offered to help him find a lens, but I don't see how I'm liable for a misread listing on their part? His communication seeems to be intermittent.
What steps should I take to protect myself? I've never had a really difficult transaction on the web before.
