At this rate, those primes are probably either very expensive or manual focus only...

Looks like they are designed with video in mind and resolve to 4k video (2160x3840 on 35mm) - not nearly good enough for still photography.

My guess is both expensive and manual only. THey are cinema glass.

I wonder if they will even mount on a DSLR. I would hope so since they are EF, but maybe they did something stupid to make it so it won't mount on still cams.

7:41PM There's three EF prime lenses as well, 24mm, 50mm, and 85mm models. They also work well with EOS still image cameras as well.

or both...i mean if the camera costs $20,000 i imagine the lenses aren't going to be totally cheap...and it says the camera is manual focus only(or at least that was posted on canonrumors.com before) i can't find it now

I have a feeling the primes will be in the 4-8k range. They are definitely manual focus and will work with existing DSLR's, the new C300 video camera and the as yet unidentified, video-oriented DSLR. This seems like a nice system for those of us that primarily do video (and makes it compatible with existing lenses/equipment for stills). I think it's a smart move. Hopefully the street price of the C300 will be lower. I was hoping for something in the 10-12k range, but if it comes in at 16k, it's still a decent deal when compared with, say a RED Epic. If it can do 200-300fps then it will definitely compete. Curious to find out more details.
