Celebration after the goal! Came right at me, and I know I didn't nail focus =\

And this last one is my favorite, it was the one to seal the deal for the Hurricanes and there is a lot of emotion in it, think I captured a lot in the shot...(I know the horizon is off but if I straightened it I would have lost the goalie...)

I am no pro, but enjoyed the series. Really like the Chad Larose celebration shot.

Who were you shooting for if you dont mind me asking? I am always curious to learn about how people end up with the pro gigs. What lens did you shoot with?

*edit* Went and saw the set on Flickr. Had some good stuff there as well. Especially the goalie having a talk with the ref.

I was shooting as a shooter for the Hurricanes with Gregg Forwerck (Team photographer) so I do not own the rights to any of the photo's other than to share and use for myself. Shooting with him was all about who I knew and how to get it, now I am using this series to promote myself to find a media outlet to apply to credential me.

All of these were shot with the kit lens...18-55 IS...

Just kidding haha all were shot with the 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM

You had me for a second. I was like wow, I gotta get that lens. LOL

The 70-200 F2.8 is next on my list, but prob going to have to find a Sigma version used as its just hobby for me for right now.

The sigma is about to be my pro choice =P I rented the 70-200 for the game, and knew I was going to want to buy it but I can't afford it right now and the Sigma will allow me to get the OS with it for a lot cheaper...
