If you are asking if it is worth it to upgrade from a D60 to a 10D, I would say no. I think the 20D would be a more logical upgrade. But hey, thats just my opinion.

I did upgrade to the 20D because of features like almost instant on, better autofocus and better construction. Also, the 20D (not the 10D) can use EF-S lenses so I could get a 10-22 EF-S lens to answer my wide angle problems.

I think you "get your money's worth" by using a camera for two generations.. Of course, if you've got the money, then you can just replace your camera every time a new model comes out

I am currently using a D350...but was told that the 10D would be a good route to go for a second camera... since the D60 seems to be less expensive then the 10D would either or both be good second cameras to carry? What are things to look out for with each? I Have shot 35mm for a LONG time... but my recent gift of the D350 really made me get bitten by the bug.. any help would be great!!! Autofocus of D60 is slow in low light -- not just your body. (But the autofocus is accurate, if it can do so.) Better glass helps a little bit but it's still a problem. To solve it, you may attach an external Canon EX flash. It's red beam will help the autofocus a lot (within certain effective range). You may also choose no flash in your shots.
