I have a EOS 5D and I am using Adobe CS4. I took images in RAW format and cannot import them onto my computer via Adobe Bridge. Any suggestions?

How are you downloading them, camera-to-computer or card reader? I recommend the latter; inexpensive, safer, faster and doesn't use the camera's battery and you can transfer the files by drag/drop or copy/paste.

Support for the 5DMk2 was added in ACR 5.2, so my first guess is you didn't update ACR: Current version is ACR 5.7

Thanks for your reply. I have a canon 5D not the Mk2 so not sure if that makes a difference, and now have also download Photoshop CS5 to see if it will work but its not. Tried to use the software that came with the camera and Canon have now said that its not compatible with a MAC 10.6.8.

Going to purchase a new card reader and see if that helps.

Yeah, definitely get a card reader. The 6-year-old 5D has had some issues with newer OSs and such, since it requires driver support that evidently has not been kept up-to-date.

I personally have never tried to get it running hooked up to a computer, either to download pics or for things like tethered shooting. I've always used a card reader since, well, since back in my P&S/compact digicam days.

Once you get the images downloaded, Bridge will handle the files just fine! So will the Canon Raw processing app Digital Photo Professional!

In that case, disregard my post and follow the other peoples advice :)
