Works great from a dark cockpit but try it when the knucklehead spilling into your seat from the middle is reading the latest Hello Kitty comic while you're trying to shoot!

Put something over the top of you to block the light and see how fast the FAs and your fellow passengers jump your *ss because they think you're building a bomb under there!

Outstanding! That first one is just spectacular...and the writeup is great. As the others mentioned, though, it's not likely for passengers to get things dark enough to shoot so cleanly :(

I have to agree that it would be hard to get a shot this clean from the back. Maybe use a lens hood with a blanket or coat mashed around it to block stray light. I wouldn't completely cover myself in a blanket. Your right, you'd probably draw some unwanted attention. You could also try using the lens hood with the window shade most of the way down and some magazine pages to block the rest of the window.
