"I am not affiliated with Seagate in anyway"

I recently bought a portable GoFlex HD and love the fact that I can use it with firewire on my Mac and Usb 3.0 on my Windows Laptop. With these capabilities, I am surprised that more people dont use/recommend these HDs
My question is before I commit to picking up a couple more GoFlex external HDs for storage and backup purposes, is their anything else I should consider?

Most of PC folks don't have any need for FW. I use a WD 1T Passport with USB 3 to my laptop and my desktop. Those without native USB3 can use an expressbus card in a laptop or a PCI card in a desktop.

I have 2, 1 velcro'd to the back of my laptop and the other in a firesafe. I swap and update them at the end of each month. They are small, fast, and, so far, reliable.

Check Marketwatch - I think the online prices are rising while brick/mortar places like BestBuy are holding.
