I took these pictures year 1987 in Inle Lake, Burma. Leg rowing is practiced only there.

Pictures are taken with Canon A-1 and are scanned from slides, so you can see some marks of stain and wear.

More pictures from Inle Lake in my blog entry (external link).

At the time, was Burma dangerous?

(And, nice blog!)

To certain extent it was. I was working on the border river between the govenment controlled and rebellion areas. Once in a while I had armed men as a security guard (see >this blog entry< (external link)), but I didn't notice any physical thread there.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks Mark.

I admired especially the rowers fine balance.
