Ojai Raptor Rescue Open Day

Went to their second open house. They rehab injured raptors and also birds that some tried to keep as pets that can not be released into the wild due to imprinting.

1. Owl

All are excellent shots.....nice detail

Nice! For what it's worth, 6 and 7 are Red Shouldered Hawks; 5 might be a Red Tailed, but it's hard to tell from such a close-in shot. Your first Owl is a Great Horned Owl; the last one is a Barred.

Thanks folks and thanks also for the more detailed descriptions. I'm not too informed on the various raptors.
The Great Horned Owls sure have some captivating eyes.

Thanks, I used a 400,mm f5.6L lens and the min. focus distance on that thing is like 3 meters so I was just at the min. focus distance since we were very close in a small space with lots of folks.
