rule of thirds would have helped this photo a lot

yeah, sucks about the power lines

pretty good moment, although outside the title, it really needs to be beside a caption so the viewer knows what is going on

Would really have liked to improve the composition, but there isn't much opportunity while the games are in progress. I wanted to get him standing alone, to get the sense of what he was feeling, which limited the angles I could shoot from (lots of other kids on the field between me and him). He was about as far away as he could get from where I was standing when I shot this, so that also limited my options (300F4 on my 20D).

I'll call the township about the powerlines; maybe they can have them buried underground by next season ;)
