OK, I don't use a DSLR, but when I did, I always enjoyed Canon's ability to accept a variety of lenses. Anyway, this Schneider 50mm (external link)might have caught my attention, but only if I had had the money. I did a search and failed to find anything on this, but if already posted, my apologies.

How about the 45 TS-E? Not good enough?

If I ventured towards a TS lens, I would likely go for the Canon. I have no idea how the Schneider compares, and the Canon has certainly garnered considerable praise, and, as I just discovered, it's markedly cheaper!

Although this is somewhat out of my purview, for folks interested, just thought it might be something else to consider; more choice is always good, well, at least sometimes.

I've looked at them too but, the only thing the Schneider does is shift and does not tilt. That's a deal breaker for me. For the price, I assume the optics and build are top notch. :)

Well, I can't say I never used this lens before but, it looks like it doesn't tilt even if the spec says it does.;)
