Not sure where to post these. Is this a sport?

Well, as I've seen in other posts, lets remember this is a photography forum, not an area for our personal thoughts on what's right and wrong with society, etc. As far as the pictures go, I like them. Well done.

Interesting pictures, if you have PS you could bring out some of the shadow detail using the Shadow /Highlight setting (convert your image to a smart object first as it gives you way more control)

Yes, CS5 but use LR 99% of the time. I will see what I can do.

Thanks

I really like the third picture. Were these taken near Fayetteville? I live in middle GA and think it would be fun to go on a Fox Hunt. I'm not sure my horse would agree though!

As you may notice, this thread got a great deal shorter. You may comment on the technical aspects of the photographs. You may not comment on the subject matter. Any recidivists may expect to be taken up short.

Yes, fox hunting is a sport and I think you did well. I really like the third image. Good color.

lovely pics. Nothing like a day in the field with horse and hound. Looks a mixed pack of (slightly too well fed) hounds..2nd shot is beautifully done. Love the light on the rider in shot #3

That third shot is great for the red jacket sticking out. A tad more pp as others have suggested would make it really pop.

Is there ever a time where you can catch the hounds in full blister and the horse/rider in a trot or gallop? That would make for a sweet image, because even though I like #3, everyone is just meandering about. You need more like the second dog from the right with the ears pinned back!

Cheers.

Those "red jackets" are actually called Pink Coats. The still look red to me!:D

Yes, we were close to home on a private farm 3000+ acres Southwest of Fayetteville.

Great photos...I really like the lighting in the first and the colors of the third.

Regarding the sport part, my wife and daughter are avid horse riders. I recently joked to my daughter that it's not sport because there's no ball involved. My daughter responded that when she's riding the stallion there are balls involved.
