CS5 Error Message When Saving-Disk Error?

This seems to be my week for problems with my computer or software; today when trying to save an image I get this message :Cannot save xxx.jpeg because of disk error". Whuh? Just to give all the details, I had cropped an image that had been saved as a jpg then was trying to save that cropped image. Any one heard of this? I did a google on it but only found old posts & no fixes. thanks in advance!

Never mind. I had tried shutting down CS5 & reopening & that didn't work, but I did a complete reboot & that seems to have worked! Just wanted to post this in case someone else has the problem. Hopefully it will be as easy to fix for them :

How much free space do you have on disk? Rebooting would clear temporary files.

Possible that you do have a disk error (bad sector) and after a reboot you were saving to a different area on the disk.

Best to run disk checks asap.

Yes, but the problem went away when I rebooted.

Yeah, I saw that, "stuff" happens.

I asked because someone seeing a post about a problem without specifying the OS can jump into giving less-than-helpful suggestions!
