What would you suggest for a bag to carry the lens in my signature? I will probably add a 100-400 in a year or so but when I am carrying that I will pull one of the other lens out. I was kind of thinking of one of the sling packs. I think the Lowepro 200 would be too small. What about the Tamrac Velocity 9? This would be a good Christmas idea.;) I will probably try and go by a camera store. They all seem pretty limited on stock though.

I went to a camera store today and they only had the Velocity 7 not the 9. The 7 is pretty good sized but probably not enough. Tamrac's web site show the 9 as a pro series and is quite a bit bigger. Anyone have any experience with the Velocity series?

I currently have Tamracs Expedition 7 and it fits everything on my list but my 2-35mm bodies, my 200-400mm Tamron and all my filters.. it has tons of room but the size comes with a price too... I think we paid like $239 from Ritz Camera in NY...

You owe it to yourself to check out the Kata line. They have everything you could ever want and are excellent bags. Much better than the Tamrac and Lowepro.

Great place to buy them is:

I have a 20D with grip, three big fat lenses (Canon 16-35 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, and 70-200 f2.8 IS) all with hoods mounted (the 70-200 hood is reversed and the others are ready to use), light meter, flash, and a host of small accessories in a Lowepro Stealth Reporter 650 AW. There's room to spare. The price is quite reasonable (about $136 US today). The build quality is superb. There's a weather-resistant cover that you can pull over the whole works if you need to. I'd suggest you take a look at this one.
