This is when they would go look at the ONE folder of images I had of a family. I understand they didn't like the action I used on it but then again everyone has different tastes. Here is a clean edit that I have done. What do you think needs to be enhanced or toned down or out?... I personally think it looks great but then again if its not appealing to others why would anyone want to book a shoot with me?

Its not really a posed shot of my son, after all he is only 2 and doesn't understand "strike a pose!" or just doesn't sit long enough for me to get a good posed shot. So I just took this one and used it to do a clean edit. Let me know what you think needs improvement. Thanks.

Your question has me confused a bit. Is this one of the images people complained about, and if so is it the same edit? Secondly, the image is so small as attached that its hard to judge it. You should use a hosting service like flickr (its free), so you can post it larger without any issues regarding file size, just pixel size.

Apparently Im just a dummy but Im not sure how to get a good size picture on here that allows you to see the detail. Could some one who KNOWS this forum better than I do help me with the sizing of the photo's?.. its honestly why I kind of just don't post a lot of my work on here.

Rather than leave a link, just post them using flickr's system. All you have to do is copy the code and paste it into your message.

Exactly. Upload image to Flicker, then from the 'share' tab choose the larger of the two 'medium' sizes, copy the whole string in the box and paste into a post here.

Always use "preview post" at the bottom to make sure things look right before posting. Really simple process once you've done it once or twice.

Vanessa. You've posted in several threads about the same thing ... what's wrong with your photos, why won't anyone buy from you. Just "answer shopping." You called people "trolls" in one thread. If you're geniune, why don't you post what you feel is your best shot. Don't link to your Flickr page. Don't expect people guess what YOU think is your best shot. The shot above looks like a snapshot. It's nice, but would anybody pay you for it... probably. Don't complain that the subject is a toddler and won't sit still. If that's the case, don't post it for a critique. Post your best. Don't be upset if people don't like it.

I don't think you get what I'm asking. Im RE posting my stuff on Flickr to help the others see the editing style I have and what they do or don't like about it. I'm not talking about the photo itself, I was SPECIFICALLY talking about the edit thats it.

Here is a small set of my photo's. As I was saying some of these were on my FB. The mother and the baby pictures to be specific and people felt those were not "qualified" by any means let alone the editing on them. What do you think?

Judging by the link to your flickr account I like the photoshop you did to the very first shot of the Mom and the baby, to me it makes it have a nice warm feel to the photograph

this is the photograph I am talking about, if you try this photoshop work on the toddler photo above I think it would come out real nice.

I have a dual monitor setup like most but im lazier than most so only one is calibrated. I had moved my browser over to my uncalibrated monitor for just browsing and when i pulled up this post the pic looked way off. took a double look then realized I was not seeing it like I should so I moved to my calibrated monitor. on that screen the image seems fine as well as the ones in your link. on my uncalibrated monitor however they look blown out alot.

How many people do you know that have calibrated monitors? perhaps therein lies the problem.

This is a good point. I don't know how many of the people on here who have seen my work if they do have calibrated monitors or not. I kind of want to assume so because they would know its right especially if they are trying to work on photo's. Im just assuming that theirs would be calibrated too. You never know though. OR they might not like my work at all :)

Thank you. Yeah the warm tint on the mom photograph is actually an action I made personally. I like it. I probably shouldn't use it on all of them though.

nope, you are right, do not use it on all of your photographs, but use it whenever you feel the need to. Just like you made that one keep working on different ones that suit the photograph's feel, possible take one photograph and make different adjustments to it, save them all and look at them and decide which one you feel is your best post processing.
