Hi I have a 450d with the 18-55mm lens, I was wondering how good a picture of andromeda I will be able to get. Has anyone got any using this lens to show? or do I really need a bigger lens?

I piggybacked on our 16". IIRC this is a single 8 minute exposure with the same settings. I use a Canon T2i. I am pretty happy with these results. I'm just now beginning my astrophotography hobby.
