It was getting dark and I just had a few minutes of light left to get the dogs our for a run. Grabbed the camera from the box, shoved in the battery (forgot to put in a memory card), and took the dogs out. The sun had already set and it was getting dark but the sky was still pretty. This shot is straight from the camera - probably would have looked better if I had switched from P to EXR mode. 11mm, f/2.2, 1/30 Second, ISO 400 (I'm not sure if image stabilization was switched on.) Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

But my first roll has me thinking that this will be my jpeg snapshot camera. Straight out of the camera, with no processing, the colors look really good. The build is first-rate, the operation speed is lightyears ahead of my S90 and I think the ISO 3200 comparison below speaks for itself: The Fujifilm interface will take some time to learn but it seems so much deeper and more customizable than the S90. 30D | X-Pro1 | X10 | Q

Looks like you're on the downslope with only a color choice left to do. matchtechnical.com Me either. Came across this thread

The X10 was set to Velvia/Vivid which I've found isn't too flattering for skin tones. 30D | X-Pro1 | X10 | Q

Velvia/Vivid which I've found isn't too flattering for skin tones. ... Good to know. I really appreciate the comparisons because I'd like a smaller everyday camera but am beginning to think that the optics and the "smarts" behind the X10 justify the extra size. Maybe they're having server issues... I can see 'em! 30D | X-Pro1 | X10 | Q
