Sigma 500 DG Super

Hi, I have tried going through all the threads that refer to the 7D and the Sigma 500 DG Super ETTL II flash.

I am still not clear what needs to be done or if it works fine with the 7D

a. Do I need to get this flash rechipped to work with the 7D? I bought it in mid 2006 and the I have given the full name printed on the flash in the first line.

b. Will it work with attaching it to the horseshoe on the camera? Does this need any update or rechipping by Sigma?

c. Will it work as a wireless flash? What do I need to do to make this work? Or does this also need a visit to Sigma?

I sold mine for all the reasons you state.
It did work just fine off camera (in manual) with wireless triggers such as the Skyports or Cybersyncs to trigger it.

Anyone else who has this combo?
