Canon has to fix the big hole it created in its line up with the loss of the 1DMkiV.....look for a new model to be priced in that area to fill the gap. If it is gonna be enough camera to replace the 1DMKIV will be a lot to ask. I think canon is playing with fire here. Going to be interesting. They will never out a full frame in the hole. They will never get anyone to buy a 1.6 format for that hole. Mike

I really think canon is taking the professional photography crowd with a grain of salt right now. Its not on their priority list it seems to me.They are playing take it or leave it. They dont fill this price gap right,,, they are going to loose a lot of photographers. Im getting a 1DMKIV while i can and im gonna wait it out for the next 3-4 years. Alright fair enough, and that may be true, but so far we've got some optimistic voters like myself betting on something in 2012. If nothing else I just thought it would be interesting to see how the actual release date, assuming that happens, compares to predictions.
