Had been a few years since I had an opportunity to stop by Titusville, take the drive past the NASA cape launch pads, and go down the Black Point Wildlife Drive. I was already in Orlando last week, and had a few hours to spare, so I hoped in the car and headed to the coast. I could have easily shot for twice as long as I had time to be there, but I managed to get a few shots.
Reddish Egret, not quite adult judging from the plummage, hunting between rows of reeds. I liked the way he blended in with the surrounding, and the overall neutral tones of the shot.

Both taken with a Canon 5D, 300 2.8 IS L and 2X Extender. I don't normally use my 5D for birding, but was pleasantly suprised with the end results.
