The perspective you chose to shoot from has some potential, but the table is distracting and the family sitting at an angle to the camera doesn't quite work. Can we see the original background? Some of us might be able to provide to editing. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Just some quick cloning to get rid of the power lines and to reproduce some areas of the sky and fill in his hair. Some auto tone adjustments, but otherwise not really how I'd correct the color. Just wanted to show you want might be done to save the background rather than painting it a flat blue. I airbrushed some extra blue into the sky, as well. You could also consider putting in a sky from another photo into the background using masks. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.
