I just pulled the Trigger and ordered the T3i w/ 18-55mm IS Kit, f1.8 50mm, spare Battery, a couple of Sandisk 8gig class 10 MC, Lightroom3 and a couple of other odds-n-ends from B&H. This is my First DSLR but no stranger to SLRs. I up graded from a Olympus C-740.
I can't wait to get back into the Saddle from a casual shooter.
I bought my First SLR, a Canon AE-1 from the PX back in 78. 6 months later it was Stolen so I bought another AE-1. That is now in 80ft of water in Kaneohe Bay. Then I bought the AT-1. That camera taught me how to take correct exposures. I leared B&W developement as HICKAM AFB had a Photolab Free to all service members, the only thing we had to buy was Papers. The Photolab supplied all the Chemicals, equipment and help.
FF to 1996. I bought a Canon EOS ELAN II and Darkroom equipment, sold all of it in 2002.
2007, I bought the C-740.
Here it is, 2011, 54 years old and I caught the Bug, comming out of my hiatus...............
