Any more interested in the Sekonic/Skyport module? The more we are the cheaper it´ll be...

Might be.
Just not sure if I'm going to stick with Skyports or not.

Posted a question in the German forum whether or not any 2.4GHz trigger could be used with the (re-programmed) module…

Any specific reason you want to replace your Skyports?

Your German is excellent btw...

Pi, here's a shot with the Maxilite. Camera right, and about 9 or so feet off the model

Had both the Maxilite and the Maxispot and got rid of the Maxispot pretty soon.
Honestly couldn´t see much of a difference.

ooo thats nice.

She take advantage of you?

Ha - Thanks!

I was just being snarky. I subscribed to this thread last spring when I bought my Eli's and pop in every once in awhile. I just started going back page after page and noticed that the thread was seriously derailed, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Question already answered. :)
In short terms (for all of you that don´t want to browse through the German forum):
Yes, basically possible but needs more time. At the moment focus is on the Skyport module only.

Any specific reason you want to replace your Skyports?

  • They switch themselves off when used on a few of my Lumedyne heads and occasionally on some Bron generators as well.
  • They switch themselves off for no reason I can see sometimes
  • I have the "original" and IMO the buttons on that one are rubbish.
  • The batteries

Almost settled on the Phottix Strato II:
Positives:

  • pass through TTL
  • 4 groups (with better configuration options then the Skyport)
  • good range
  • AAA batteries
  • No need for cords when using hotshoe flashes
  • Wakes sleeping Canon EX flashes
  • Decent build
  • lower price then getting a few more Skyport triggers
  • Cheaper and smaller then the Phottix Atlas (Pocket Wizard clone)

So-so:
  • AAA instead of AA (which I'd prefer)
  • Rx and Tx instead of transceivers (which I'd prefer)
  • No trigger for the L358 ;)

Then I came across some Chinese triggers (Ojecocco H550) that are about to come out, and offer the option of (kinda) Hypersync. And it's a tranceiver. They have a smaller brother (Ojecocco H430) which looks to be about the same as the Phottix Strato 2 in features. Win-win, provided the build quality and support is okay.

Since I don't plan on buying before the end of the year anyway, I can wait a bit to see how those evolve.

Meine Aussprache aber nicht ;)
Thanks. I was born 5 kilometers from the German border, so watched a lot of German TV. Hardest part was wen I got German lessons in school and started thinking about cases instead of just folowing gut feeling

I'd be using those one piece grip head/superclamps if I didn't already have these:
