I have an Airport Express base station connect to my sound system via an optical fiber cable so that any computer in my house can stream music to the sound system via iTunes. I think I can stream music from my iPad and iPhone also although I haven't tried it yet. :)

now you just need one of those iPad stand holders like in the Mark Wallace CL seminar. :-)

It looks like he had at least 7*7a power blocks, I could not even afford to rent that much :)

And your Bron Para works as a parabolic antenna in this setup? :)

No, cuz I only have one Para. But as soon as I get my 2nd Para...look out!

But for now, I just use the Para for cooking picnic hotdogs in the summer and heating the house in the winter.

Super even with no hot spots and far easier to set up than with two lights.. It's a beautiful thing.

See! Told you so Pi.

Sorry about that. I'm sure that they'll have some more in stock once Elinchrom can get that new supplier in place.

I just started going back page after page and noticed that the thread was seriously derailed, not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's not the thread that's seriously derailed, it's the members. :)

I'd be using those one piece grip head/superclamps if I didn't already have these:

Music connectivity FTW!

I have 600 gigs of music (most of it Apple Lossless) sitting on my main desktop computer, which I listen to all day on my desktop sound system while working at home. The music library is wirelessly networked to the downstairs Mac Mini which drives our home theater and main stereo system. The downstairs amp also drives the in-ceiling speakers upstairs in our bedroom.

iTunes front end on both upstairs and downstairs systems, both systems have USB DAC -> amp -> speakers, and both iTunes libraries can run independently/simultaneously and be controlled from my iPod touch.

:)

Gezzus, i have a long way to go before i catchup, im sure the day will come when you'll have used them ALL and will be wondering what the hell happened, super clamps are like that.... but on almost all of mine, the rubbers gone off, thats the only thing that saddens me, oh and some of mine didn't come with the detachable corner piece.

The weak link in your chain is iTunes. God how i hate iTunes, i think i would be able to enjoy Macs alot more if it wasn't for iTunes :(

What do you prefer for a digital front end? I've messed around a little with Foobar 2000, but always ended up back with iTunes for simplicity and because I use an iPod in our vehicles.

Nah, we'll fall behind soon enough.

Car rig eh? I was guessin that, can't say i ever build one so can't help you there, though i did hear about magic arms being used to that effect i am not sure how sturdy they are, if i was buyin new, i may as well buy something more... avenger like with maybe some anti-shock washers.

You can find a ton of used magic arms though, there was an actual car rig selling locally to me for pretty cheap with all parts included not long ago, but i am not into that kind yet.

Though i do have several friends with bikes... hmm wonder... i may try it.

Bah you guys can keep up!!

The car goes slow when shooting so its not a big deal. :D
Where are these used magic arms?

I was just being snarky. I subscribed to this thread last spring when I bought my Eli's and pop in every once in awhile. I just started going back page after page and noticed that the thread was seriously derailed, not that there's anything wrong with that.

ahhh all good. We go in waves where we go super OT then it comes back to Elinchrom :)

Question already answered.
In short terms (for all of you that don´t want to browse through the German forum)
Yes, basically possible but needs more time. At the moment focus is on the Skyport module only.

There is another forum other than POTN?

I do actually use winamp.

I have playlists, and albums organized via normal .m3us and folders in a quicklaunch tray.

Its super effective and totally customizable.

I actually have iTunes, due to my ipad, and it takes quite longer to load, is not as customizable on the visual front, and i have a hard time managing a large library in it and having to import files, it also randomly decides that it doesn't want to play certain audio files... That was a pain.

I guess my needs are more simple... I mainly listen to whole albums at a time, or will just grab a random genius playlist. Not into graphics/skins, and iTunes is always running so no issues with launch speed.

I have a huge library of MP3's that I don't run through iTunes because it's so disorganized, but all my good music in my main library is ripped to Apple Lossless directly from CD or converted from FLAC through Foobar (FLAC -> WAV -> Lossless = PITA).
