I beg to differ (a lot) on this, Robert. I personally think the 135 wide with the white translucent deflector does a better job of more evenly distributing the light on the background than it does with a silver deflector on. Case in point (I think the images are self explanatory): :)

They're working me to death, folks. I officially retired from my govt. job Nov 23, 2010.
As of Jan 1 of 2011, I've worked 155 days. I told my wife I'm friggin exhausted. She's got no sympathy for me.

BTW, Since this is the MKIV thread, I figured I'd join since it's my body. And I'll cry if I want to.

Hey Mark,

Always nice to see you. I remember when you told me you were retiring and since then all I've been hearing about is how much you're working.

I don't think I understand how retirement works...

I know, but if you're a bumbling buffoon like me, anything's possible:lol:

Be glad you haven't seen me try to emulate poses for models. No one should have to experience that.

Hey MDJAK, 11/23 is my birthday. I'm glad you decided to celebrate it by retiring, or, at least trying to retire.:D

I wouldn't dream of using more than iso 100 in a studio. :p

Don't tell Nikon guys that, they might take offense.

I don't know, i can certainly see the appeal... but being relegated to dealing with bureaucracy on a daily basis would certainly drive me up the wall and i can't think of a single gov'n job where paperwork isn't common.

LR3 does that for me.

Adobe's ACR and Canon's DPP have a feature that allows you to see blown and black shadow areas using a particular color to highlight those areas. This feature needs to be turned on, though, to see those areas (if they exits).
